I feel the cushions underneath the sole are perfect for a long formal day. However the back of the shoes doesn't feel very comfortable because of its hard bend. It gave me some blisters, but if you wear it a few times before the event, it should be fine. Fit is a little big but nothing that a pair of tights can't fix.
