What is the difference between classic and Italian tulle?

Lace & Favour veils are made from a variety of different tulle. We understand that, for many of our brides, the types of fabrics used for different items can be a little confusing. For this reason, we’re on hand to answer any questions you may have and help you to find the perfect veil for your big day.

Classic Tulle

Classic tulle is slightly stiffer in comparison to Italian, giving these types of veil more volume and shape. This type of tulle works well with two tier veils and shorter, bouffant styles.

Italian Tulle

Italian tulle is very soft and floaty. A popular choice for modern day brides, this type of tulle works especially well with longer styles (such as cathedral or chapel) and single tier veils. For the bride who envisions her veil gliding neatly over her back and blending to her wedding dress, Italian tulle is the better option.

Choosing The Right Fabric For Your Veil

The perfect veil for you will depend on the style and length of your wedding dress. For example, heavily embellished gowns look simply stunning with the addition of plain veil made in soft Italian tulle that cascades down your back. For brides opting for a vintage-inspired or retro bridal look, structured two tier veils add structure and stand out from the crowd, becoming a feature of your wedding look rather than a simple enhancement.

Which type of veil you choose from really comes down to your dress and your individual style. Here at Lace & Favour, we love talking about all things wedding related to our customers. So, if you have any questions or would like some advice on which kind of veil will complement your dress, just give us a call or send us an email.
