How much do wedding veils cost?

The cost of your wedding veil depends on a number of factors ranging from the materials used, the style, length and customisations. Our collection of bridal veils range from delicate fingertip styles to traditional full length and cathedral length designs, with prices starting from just £65.

Veil Lengths

Veils come in a wide range of lengths from shoulder length to cathedral lengths. The length of the veil you choose will likely affect the price you pay for it. For example, cathedral length veils generally cost more than fingertip length veils because more materials are needed to make them.

While this may not always be the case (brand, materials and embellishments can all directly affect price, too) as a general rule you can predict how expensive a veil might be from the length.

Single Tier or Two Tier

A single tier veil does not have the traditional ‘blusher’ which is the piece of tulle that is traditionally pulled over a bride’s face. Whereas, two tier veils are designed with both a section of tulle which sits at the back, and the blusher which can be pulled forwards or layered over the other section.

Because more material is used to create a two tier veil, they are generally more expensive than their single tier counterparts.

Veil Materials

Wedding veils are a luxurious addition to your bridal attire, so as you would expect they are crafted from high quality materials. Tulle is the most popular wedding veil fabric thanks to its versatility. For example, certain types of tulle can be used to create structure while others are softer so they fall down the back and blend effortlessly with your gown.

The type of material you choose for your veil depends on the overall look you are going for. Like any materials, there are variations in price depending on the material you choose.

Embellishments & Finishes

Veils not only come in a wide range of lengths and styles, they also come with a wide range of finishes and embellishments. This includes edging made from satin or lace and embellishments in the form of crystals, pearls, beads, flowers and glitter

The more intricate and embellished a veil design is, the higher the price is normally. The addition of other materials, such as lace or satin, can also affect the price.

Veils From Lace & Favour

There are no hard and fast rules when it comes to how much veil costs. Depending on materials, length, design and embellishments, it’s quite possible that a shorter veil can cost more than a cathedral length veil. Therefore, our best advice when it comes to finding your perfect veil is to set a budget with an upper limit on how much you want to spend. Having this budget in mind will help you narrow down the search when you’re shopping around while focusing on the length, style and intricacy of your desired veil.
